Diamant
Diamant is a fast-paced push-your-luck game where players explore dangerous caves in search of treasure. Each round, players choose whether to continue deeper into the cave or return to camp with their collected gems. However, staying too long risks triggering hazards that can wipe out all progress from that expedition.
The game creates constant tension between greed and caution. Each new card revealed increases both potential reward and potential danger, forcing players to read the table and predict others’ behaviour. Because all players make simultaneous decisions, psychological bluffing and timing play a major role.
Despite its simplicity, Diamant generates strong emotional highs and lows, making it an excellent filler game for large groups. Sessions are fast, chaotic, and highly replayable.
Designed by Alan R. Moon and Bruno Faidutti, it has been published under multiple editions, including Incan Gold, and remains a popular social game worldwide.
